Dark Horse Prophet x Swim the Current: Beg for Extinction Tour 2026 at the Historic Lobo Theater (Thursday, October 8)

Lineup update. Trip to the Morgue and Skeleton Crew have canceled their tour. Promoter DnA Bookings has brought in Los Angeles band Dark Horse Prophet to headline, with Swim the Current joining the bill and Albuquerque’s own Egregious 505 still opening. The date, doors, age limit and ticket price are all unchanged.

The Beg for Extinction Tour 2026 kicks off at the Historic Lobo Theater in Albuquerque on Thursday, October 8, 2026. Dark Horse Prophet

Dark Horse Prophet is a Los Angeles band working the line between the grit of rock and the force of metal: heavy riffs, dual-guitar precision and commanding vocals. The lineup is Tom Isom on lead vocals, Edward Wisztreich and Jonni Law on guitars, Tony Smith on bass and Brent Terry on drums and vocals. Their single “Confessions” came out in April 2026 on TLG|ZOID, distributed by Virgin Music Group. The band played Milwaukee Metal Fest 2026, its largest domestic festival slot to date, has run coast-to-coast US tours and European dates supporting Tim “Ripper” Owens, and opens for Ill Niño in Mexico this September.

Swim the Current

Swim the Current is a rock band on the same label, TLG|ZOID and Virgin Music Group, fronted by Marcos Leal of Ill Niño. Founder Greg Antine plays guitar, with George Pond of Disciples of Verity on bass, Chris Moore, who has played with George Lynch and Autograph, on drums, and Joe Gareri on guitar and keys. The band names Deftones, Faith No More, Sevendust, P.O.D. and Stabbing Westward as influences, and their take on Koe Wetzel’s “So Low” puts Leal out front.

Egregious 505

Egregious 505 opens the night for the home crowd. The Albuquerque extreme metal band released the single “Persecuted Remains.”
