Noche De Despecho means heartbreak night, and it is exactly what it sounds like.
Once a week, in cities across the country, people show up to a bar with a microphone and do what centuries of Mexican cantina culture already knew worked: they sing through it. Rancheras, cumbias, boleros, corridos. The songs that already know what you feel. The crowd that already knows why you are there.
Noche De Despecho runs in Chicago, Las Vegas, Seattle, New York, Miami, and Mexico City. Now it comes to The Historic Lobo Theater.
August 21. Doors open at 8 PM.
Think of it as group therapy where the barstool is the couch, the microphone does the heavy lifting, and the co-pay is twenty dollars cash at the door.
Twenty dollars. Cash at the door. 21 and over. Valid ID required. No exceptions.
The lounge opens at regular hours. Karaoke starts at 8 PM. We are here until you have said everything you needed to say, or until 2 AM. Whichever comes first.
