Two acts, two rooms, one walkable building. Kaleidoscope at the Lobo Lounge wraps at 8:00 PM. The One Last Funky Dollar set in the theater room runs through the rest of the evening. About Kaleidoscope: Albuquerque four-piece cover band
Kaleidoscope is an Albuquerque-based four-piece interpretive cover band. Their signature is multi-layered vocal harmonies and reworked arrangements that pull from a wide catalog. Less paint-by-numbers, more let-the-song-breathe. Lobo Theater own writeup of the band called it a “fun, genre-spanning night,” which is the elevator pitch.
This is the second of two Kaleidoscope at the Lobo Lounge dates in 2026, after their May 15 lounge appearance. Same band, same room, different vibe. The May date is a standalone lounge set. The June 26 date is a pre-show kickoff for the theater room.
About One Last Funky Dollar (the theater show after)
One Last Funky Dollar is a funky soul dance party. The show in the theater room runs the rest of the evening. If you came for Kaleidoscope at the Lobo Lounge and you are still standing at 8 PM, the funky soul dance party is right next door. Best ten-foot walk you will take all month.
Why the Lobo Lounge works for a Friday pre-show
The Lobo Lounge is the front-of-house bar zone at the Historic Lobo Theater on Central Avenue in Nob Hill. Smaller than the theater room. More intimate. Big enough for a four-piece harmonized cover band, small enough that the room feels packed before you walk into the theater. On a two-show night like June 26, this is the pre-game. The pour-yourself-into-the-night spot. The harmonies-on-the-way-to-the-funk room.
The building is a 1938 Art Deco landmark on Historic Route 66. The theater room hosts the bigger ticketed shows. The lounge is where the relaxed weekly programming lives. Some Friday nights both rooms are firing. June 26 is one of those nights.
