This is Halloween at a Grateful Dead tribute show on Route 66, and the costume bar is high. Bring it. Skeletons-and-roses, Jerry-in-his-prime, Uncle-Sam-with-a-cape, full Mardi Gras, whatever speaks to you. We will not judge. Best costume of the night gets bragging rights and a photo on our socials. About The Deal: Albuquerque Grateful Dead tribute band
The Deal is a Grateful Dead tribute band from right here in the 505. The Dead music, the community around it, and the spirit of the long, strange trip have shaped the band whole approach. Every show is built around honoring those songs. On Halloween, with the right room and the right crowd, that energy goes somewhere extra.
Expect a setlist that pulls from the full Dead catalog. Sugar Magnolia, Friend of the Devil, Casey Jones, Bertha, Dark Star, China Cat Sunflower, I Know You Rider. Long instrumental jams between sets. Singalongs that fill the room. The Deal opened the 2026 Lobo run on May 16, returned for a summer night on August 1, and Halloween night is the third and final Lobo Theater date of the year.
Why Halloween at Lobo Theater works so well
Lobo Theater was built in 1938 as an Art Deco movie palace on Historic Route 66 in Nob Hill. The original architecture, the marquee out front, and the big stage all do half the work for you on Halloween night. It already feels like a vintage movie. Add 550 fans in costume, a full bar, and a band locked into Dark Star, and you have one of the best Halloween concerts in Albuquerque, full stop. ADA accessible. All ages welcome with a paying adult.
Nob Hill is the right Halloween concert Albuquerque neighborhood for a night like this. Central Avenue gets dressed up. Bars are full. People are out walking. After the show you can wander Central, grab late food, keep the night going. The Lobo sits right in the middle of all of it.
