About The Deal
The Deal is an Albuquerque-based Grateful Dead tribute band carrying the Dead catalog and culture forward for a New Mexico audience. The band is steeped in the music, the people, and the vibe of Dead culture, and their goal at every show is simple: pay tribute to the songs, hold the room together, and extend this beautifully long, strange trip for one more night.
If you caught the May 16 kickoff at the Lobo, you already know what August looks like. Long jams, hands-in-the-air singalongs, and a crowd that came ready. If you missed May, this is your second chance to see The Deal live at Lobo Theater in 2026.
Why August at the Lobo is a special night
August in Albuquerque means warm evenings, late sunsets, and a packed Nob Hill on a Saturday night. Lobo Theater is the perfect place to land for the night. A 1938 Art Deco room on Historic Route 66, full bar, big stage, room for 550, and an excellent house sound system that lets the long instrumental jams of a Grateful Dead set actually breathe. ADA accessible, all ages welcome with a paying adult.
