The Deal returns to Albuquerque with a Grateful Dead tribute night at Lobo Theater
Get ready, Albuquerque. The Deal, a Grateful Dead tribute band from right here in the 505, kicks off their 2026 run on the big stage at the Historic Lobo Theater on Saturday, May 16. Doors open at 7:00 PM and the music starts at 8:00 PM.
This is a $10 cover charge night, payable in cash or by card at the door only. No advance tickets, no service fees. Even better: the first 50 people through the door get a $3 concession credit, so come early, grab a drink at our full bar, and stake out your spot.
What to expect from a Grateful Dead tribute show
The Deal is a local Albuquerque band that lives and breathes the music, the people, and the culture of the Grateful Dead. Their setlists pull from across the Dead catalog, including classics like Sugar Magnolia, Friend of the Devil, Casey Jones, Bertha, and the long-form jams the Dead were famous for. If you are a Deadhead, this is a room full of your people. If you have never heard the Dead live, this is one of the best ways to hear that sound now.
In the words of the band, they want to pay tribute to the music and the culture of The Dead, and do their part in extending this beautifully long, strange trip. Saturday May 16 is the first of three Lobo Theater dates in 2026, so consider this your kickoff.

The big stage, the room natural acoustics, and a 550-seat capacity make this the right size for the kind of communal, hands-in-the-air Grateful Dead tribute experience The Deal puts on.
